San Juan de Capistrano:
The apartment is situated about 2-3 minutes walk from the pool and restaurant complex, there is one flight of steps down and one up in the walk to the pool through beautiful gardens and palm trees.
There are restaurants and bars on site, all within staggering distance. You can get basic provisions at a small shop and a well stocked supermarket is a 5 min drive.
A small bus takes you into town, we like to walk down for a meal. Walking back up is fine, the gradient is less noticeable after a bottle or two - or a taxi is only about 5 euros.
pool:
The pool is one of the best in Nerja, it is large with a good variety of depth. There is plenty of space to sunbathe, sunbeds can be hired.
There are pool side cafes and a great view.
There is a safe children's pool (below).
apartment:
The apartment is spacious and, we think, pleasantly furnished without some of the "heavy" furniture you find in some rental properties.
We have taken pride in making it feel homely, but in a Spanish way.
The bathroom is new with a bath and shower, a sliding screen makes showering easy.
The kitchen is modern with a halogen hob and combination microwave, oven and grill.
It is light and easy to keep clean, there is an extractor fan.

The main bedroom has doors onto the terrace. There is a ceiling fan.
There is a folding cot in a large fitted wardrobe.
Another cupboard is packed with floats, bucket and spades, a small body board and beach parasols and mats.
The beds can be moved together in the other bedroom.
The terrace is very large with panoramic views. We get 11hrs of sunshine mid summer and watch the sun go down over the distant hills.
There also great views over the town and the mediterranean,
and sunsets!
